Welcome to the Office of University Scholarships and Financial Aid (USFA). Our staff understands the financial challenges that families face. We are here to assist parents and students in efficiently applying for and receiving the financial aid for which they are eligible. Below are links that will guide students and parents through the financial aid process. ***Students must have an information release on file at USFA in order for staff to discuss financial aid matters with the parent. ***.

The Hokie Spa is a tool for students, faculty, and staff that allows students to view academic, financial, and other pertinent information about their status with Virginia Tech. Students can also find grades for previous semesters, class schedules, financial aid information, and more. Once a student is accepted to Virginia Tech, and has paid the matriculation deposit, they will be able to sign up to access the Hokie Spa. Students and parents can also explore the University Bursar’s e-billing page here.

The Hokie SPA will give access to:

Award Information	Loans, grants or scholarships
Holds	Outstanding financial aid requirements prohibiting USFA from processing student’s financial aid, this type of hold will not block student registration.
Academic Progress	Reasonable Academic Progress status and information on appeal requirements
Student Processing Requirements	Any documents requested AND all documents that have been turned into USFA and processed.
Cost of Attendance	Student budget consisting of tuition, fees, room and board, and other allowances. A student’s financial aid awards cannot exceed this amount. COA is NOT the same as the student’s award package and NOT the same as the university bill.
